I have been working for over 20 years as an occupational therapist. During this time, I have been fortunate to have worked in a variety of hospital and community settings across the health, disability and education sectors, before moving to Facilitate OT in 2019.
What I love about Facilitate OT is the job flexibility, collegial environment and the caring team. As a Senior OT at FOT, I also provide regular supervision and support to Occupational Therapists in the areas of wheelchair assessment and prescription, complex equipment and home modifications.
I enjoy working in partnership with my clients, and their key supports, to facilitate goal attainment. My passion is to improve access, increase participation and enable inclusion for all, and I wish to maximise the opportunities available to each person. I bring to my OT role, experience working with children and adults with neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disabilities.
My scope of practice and strengths include assessment and prescription of assistive technology including wheelchair prescription, assessment for complex environmental modifications, assessment and consultation in vehicle travel, functional retraining, and report writing.
When not at work you will find me at Pilates, swimming or experimenting with a new recipe for the family. My favourite fruits are strawberries and blueberries.
